Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
Izuran and Izuran Pro can run AI locally on your Mac. A provider, connector, assistant tool, paired iPhone, or Mac you join to this one can receive information needed for its work. We do not collect app telemetry or usage analytics. The storage and network behavior is described below.
Who We Are
Izuran and Izuran Pro (“the apps”) is developed and distributed by Ambition Innovation Creativity LLC, a company formed in Massachusetts, USA (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store on our servers any of the following:
- The contents of your conversations or prompts
- AI model responses or generated content
- Files, documents, or other data processed by the app’s tools
- Telemetry, crash reports, or usage analytics
- Device identifiers, location, or unique advertising IDs
The app does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Information Stored Locally on Your Mac
The apps keep the following local records. App Store Izuran uses its sandboxed App Group container. Izuran Pro uses its Application Support folder, where its assistant's conversations, memory and brain also live; macOS keeps other apps out of that folder unless you grant them Full Disk Access. Model weights can live in the shared models folder and be shared with other accounts on the Mac. These records are not uploaded to our servers:
- Profile information you choose to enter (name, email, timezone, preferences)
- Conversations with the AI assistant
- Settings and preferences (enabled tools, inference configuration, hardware profile)
- Downloaded model weights and associated configuration files
- Scheduled tasks you create and their execution history
- The assistant's memory and your brain (Izuran Pro): facts the assistant keeps about you and its own notes, and the thoughts, projects and files you hand it, as files you can open, indexed by the Mac's Spotlight so the assistant can find them; you can pin, edit and forget each one in Settings
- The app-and-window timeline (Izuran Pro, off until you turn it on): which app and window title was in front and when, kept for a bounded number of days, never window contents
- File checkpoints the app creates when you ask it to modify files
Removing the app bundle does not remove its data, shared model weights, or Keychain entries. App updates preserve these locations. Use the relevant conversation, model, and settings controls to remove data; configured external services retain their own records.
Information Stored in the macOS Keychain
When you enable an optional integration that requires authentication, credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain, encrypted by the operating system for the app-managed integrations below:
- Hugging Face access token (optional, used to accelerate model downloads)
- Google Workspace OAuth tokens (if you connect Gmail, Calendar, or Drive)
- API keys for web-search providers (Brave Search, xAI) that you supply
- Remote-client API keys generated by the app for paired devices
Izuran Pro keeps its own credentials in the Keychain too: a model server’s key, its Gmail sign-in, the iPhone pairing code and a notification push key. Two programs it runs keep their own, on your Mac: Link CLI keeps your Link sign-in in its credentials file, and signal-cli keeps the Signal account’s keys in its data folder. A key you write into an MCP server’s settings stays in that file on your Mac. Credentials are sent to the service they authenticate, not to us. Settings provides controls for configured providers and connections.
Network Activity
Network requests depend on the models, services, and tools you use. They can contain prompts, search queries, selected attachments, or other information needed for the requested operation.
Model downloads
Model weights and configuration files are downloaded from Hugging Face over HTTPS. Hugging Face receives your IP address and the identifier of the model you are downloading, per their own privacy policy.
Optional integrations (only when you explicitly enable them)
- Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) — standard OAuth to Google servers; subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Brave Search — queries you explicitly make are sent to Brave; subject to Brave’s Privacy Policy.
- xAI (Grok) web search — queries you explicitly make are sent to xAI; subject to xAI’s Privacy Policy.
- Philips Hue — finding your bridge asks Philips’s locator service before searching your local network (Izuran Pro searches your local network only); controlling your lights goes to your Hue bridge on your local network only.
- Apple services (Weather, Maps, Location, Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, Notes, Photos, Music, Spotlight, Shortcuts) — accessed through Apple system frameworks on your Mac, each behind the macOS permission you grant. Weather and Maps receive the place or coordinates being looked up. In Izuran Pro the assistant reaches Weather, Maps, this Mac’s location, Music and your Hue lights only while you turn each on in Settings. Subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Speech recognition — what you dictate, and the recordings you ask Izuran to transcribe, are turned into text on your Mac. If you choose Apple’s server speech recognition in Settings, that audio is sent to Apple to be transcribed instead. Subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- Shortcuts — a shortcut does what its own steps do with what it is given, which can include sending it to a model service such as Apple’s Private Cloud Compute or ChatGPT. Izuran Pro asks before giving a shortcut anything from a conversation.
Assistant providers, tools, and updates
A remote model provider receives the conversation context and attachments submitted for inference. Assistant tools can access websites, services, files, and applications according to the assistant’s permissions and macOS privacy grants. Scheduled work can run while the main window is closed. Pro downloads app updates and its signed Python runtime from the configured distribution endpoints.
Local server, other Macs, and Izuran for iPhone
The coding-tool and voice server listens on this Mac unless you expose it to your network. It is optional in App Store Izuran and starts with Pro. The paired iPhone communicates with Pro over your network or your own tunnel. Macs you join together send inference work between them. Phone notifications use Apple’s push notification service when configured.
AI Inference
Local models run on Apple Silicon through MLX. Apple Intelligence provides supported on-device text and setup help. Pro’s assistant can use its local Python model engine, the Macs you join together, or a remote provider you select. Choosing a remote provider sends the required context to that provider under its own privacy terms.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Rights
You can manage local app data through the app and its storage locations:
- Access. All stored data is visible through the app’s user interface and its local storage locations.
- Deletion. You can delete conversations, downloaded models, profile information, connected services, and credentials using their relevant controls. Removing the app bundle alone leaves persistent data on disk.
- Portability. Conversation history and profile information are stored as human-readable JSON and Markdown files in the app’s local storage.
We do not operate any server that holds your data, so there is no separate request process required to exercise these rights.
Security
App Store Izuran uses the macOS App Sandbox. Izuran Pro is directly distributed, uses the hardened runtime, and is not sandboxed. Pro’s assistant can operate the Mac within its configured permissions; macOS separately controls access to resources such as the camera, microphone, screen, and protected files. Giving the assistant Full Access does not grant macOS privacy permissions. Downloads and integrations use their configured network transports; local client APIs use loopback HTTP.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the app or in applicable law. Material changes will be noted by a new effective date at the top of this document, and the current version will be available at https://izuran.ai/privacy.
